UK Artificial Superintelligence Security Bill
At ControlAI, we are working with lawmakers to put forward legislation prohibiting the development of superintelligence domestically, as a first step toward an international agreement.
For this purpose, we have drafted a bill for the UK that would prohibit the development of superintelligent AI in the UK, monitor and restrict the precursors to superintelligent AI, and start the first step for the UK to lead negotiations on an international agreement.
This bill has been drafted with support from a parliamentary lawyer and is endorsed by Sir Stephen Fry.
